CES Day 2: Cool photo stuff

Jenny Cisney Chief Blogger, kodak.com

It is unbelievable how many booths are here, and I think there are twice as many people visiting them today as there were yesterday.

I knew Joby, the company that makes Gorillapod's would be here, so I wanted to track them down and tell them how much Oscar enjoyed taking pictures thanks to their tripods. They had a great booth with all sorts of objects... rocks, sign posts, tree limbs... with Gorillapods wrapped around them.

This fishbowl caught my eye. It has a Gepe Card Safe memory card protector floating in it. You can put your memory cards in it and they will be protected from water, static, shock and apparently you can even run a UPS truck over it. This would be handy as I am always juggling two or three memory cards when I am taking lots of pictures. I would also need a homing device built into it because I am always misplacing my memory cards.

Here is another cool tripod I spotted... the Quikpod, an extendable hand held tripod. Only I am not sure it should be called a tripod seeing how it only has one leg... wouldn't it be a unipod? I can see all sorts of uses for this. It is great for taking self portraits especially for people with short arms like me. I could also use it at the office to sneak up on my coworkers and take pictures of them over the cubicle walls while they are sitting at their desks. Heh heh.

Kodak at CES

Jenny Cisney Chief Blogger, kodak.com

So I am here in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center checking out CES. The Kodak booth looks great.

I have one of the new V803 digital cameras to take pictures with while I wander around. I love that the V803 and V1003 come in so many colors. It makes the idea of matching my camera to my outfit each day very tempting.

This is a picture I took of one of our new digital picture frames. There are several different designs and with this one you can write on the frame itself with a whiteboard marker! I took that opportunity to promote our blog.

If you have seen the Kodak Winds of Change video on YouTube, then you will recognize this picture of me with the "Booyah!" guy. His name is actually Steve Tom and he is here at the Kodak booth. He was kind enough to pose with me for this picture. Booyah!

I have some more pictures uploaded to the Gallery.

Tomorrow I will be venturing out onto the floor to see the other booths... check back!

Blogging from CES

Jenny Cisney Chief Blogger, kodak.com

I am very excited to be at CES this week in Las Vegas, to blog about all the cool stuff I see. It will be a behind the scenes look at this consumer electronics show with over 2,700 exhibitors filling more than 1.6 million square feet of exhibit space.

I made sure to pack my sneakers.

I briefly considered bringing Oscar to stroll around taking pictures with the Gorillapod on his neck, but when he demanded to fly out on the corporate jet, I knew it wouldn't work out.

Stay tuned.
