Every Thursday there is a new video installment on The Tonight Show blog... such as "Solving the mystery of the missing sodas" and "Intern Battleship".
So check out Conan's site every Thursday to see a new hilarious video!
Think your Dad is the best? Well, then why not enter him in to win The Father of the Year Contest?
Starting today, you can go to either wired.com or 5minutesformom.com (for US participants. For other participating country information, see below) and post in 300 words or less why you think your Dad should win this contest. Then finalists will be selected from each country and these winners will receive a Kodak Zi6 digital video camera. The winners will in turn be required to use the video cameras to produce a short video about their Dad to be posted back to the original website the first post was written to.
From those, 5 grand prize winners in total will be selected from the video entries, and those winners and their Dads will win a trip to Disney in Orlando, FL and get to watch the final PGA tournament in November 2009.
This contest is also running in Canada, Germany, and the UK. Here are the links and you can go to for each country, as well as the respective deadlines.
Editor's Note - Part I can be found here. Yes, the Kodak task on The Celebrity Apprentice last year was truly a magical experience. Gene Simmons as our leader was fun and everything pointed to our big success.
The boardroom turned out to be a shock. Going into the boardroom, which most people don't realize is a 3-hour ordeal edited down to a few minutes, I was confident of our success. We had pulled an "all nighter", Gene was creative and fun to work with and we had an incredible"big idea" executed fabulously. In addition, we heard the guys team was a disaster and they had had some coffee spill on a computer killing all of their work. Well, how shocked were we to find out that our team missed the boat, Kodak wanted to sell "the ink" and our big idea of selling the brand, in a way Kodak was already doing, was out. The guy's team, while they had horrific execution (due to the coffee spill) had sold the ink.
The next three hours in the boardroom were traumatizing. Gene was crucified for his arrogance and grandiosity in assuming his win and Donald Trump insisted he throw his number two (me!) under the bus. Trump sited how the client, Jeff Hayzlett, Kodak's Chief Marketing Officer, thought I talked to much and didn't listen (I was distraught!) and how he reminded Gene that in a corporation when you lose business, either the CEO has to go or his number two is the sacrificial lamb. I was to be that lamb.
Unfortunately for me, I really cared. I didn't want to go. I felt that it would be the worst for me to be fired for a task with a product I knew better than anyone else on the show. It wasn't fair! I am a photo fanatic!
In the end, Gene, with all his ego and grandiosity, is a honorable man. He refused to sell me down the river. He took the bullet for losing and was fired. I was saved. I was fired several episodes later, for no good reason I might add, and was reminded by Trump that it was my turn to take the bullet that Gene had taken for me. Trump and I had words and women in America responded to my ability to stand up to him respectfully, for what I believed to be right. I guess working for 5 billionaires has definitely paid off.
After the show was over, Kodak threw a fabulous party for us and I got to speak to Jeffrey Hayzlett from Kodak. I explained that I was so disappointed our first encounter, clearly had not gone well. I shared my passion for the Kodak brand. I think when his staff looked up my Kodak Gallery account and saw that I had made 75 Kodak photobooks, ties, cards, mugs etc. He realized that I was truly a Kodak junkie. I then told him about my favorite Kodak Gallery book about going to my homeland of Cuba to find my lost pictures. Next thing I know I am working with Kodak on a number of great projects.
Since then, I have had a beautiful Kodak year. Working with my favorite brand and spreading the Kodak fun wherever I go. Okay, so the finale of Season 2 of The Celebrity Apprentice is upon us.
I am beyond excited that it is between Joan Rivers and Annie Duke. How great to see two formidable women going for gold.
It is a true horse race. I believe Joan will bring out all her tricks
and will do her best to beat Annie. The more I observe Joan the more I
think she has been playing poker with Annie. I think she will surprise
us all.
Annie could win easily unless she gets cocky and underestimates her opponent.
I love them both and will be happy if either one of them win. But for
today, I am voting for the 75 year old. I think she gets the life
achievement award. Yes, she has weird quirks and inappropriate comments
but in the race of life in every way she is a winner and a phoenix that
always rises from the ashes. Joan Rivers has Celebrity Apprentice
winner written all over her.
Big surprise, the finale task is with Kodak! I don't want to give away
too much but Kodak will ask the ladies to do a charity event by
creating a Kodak experience. Truly that's all I know, but I can tell
you I can't wait to see Jeff Hayzlett, who by the way has lot's of
formidable women working for him and a strong wife and daughter, giving
these powerhouses a task and then judging their work. Wow!!!! What a
show to watch.
Nely with Kodak CMO, Jeff Hayzlett
I have heard that this year the selling point for the task is wi-fi digital picture frames. Ladies pay attention, remember the selling point! I hope they
learn from our mistakes!
I am off to New York to attend the finale along with Kodak Team. It
will be fun to see everyone again and I am excited to meet the Celebs I
have been writing about all season.
I promise to give you all the gossip after the show! What the Celebs
are really like and how were all the parties. I can't wait to see who
wins, although either way it will be great, Female Power! I want to see
if Joan and Annie are speaking to each other. There doesn't seem to be
a lot of love lost there. Maybe they'll do what guys would do, fight
with each other and then go start a business together. I will let you
know all!
Kodak Rules!
Back to you after the finale. Nely
Editor's note: Who do you think will win? Be sure to do the poll asking that very question on our Celebrity Apprentice site.
