Kodak and MTV Germany are currently running a competition where Germans can showcase their filming talent by shooting acoustic music videos of a newcomer band with the newly introduced Kodak Zi8 Digital Video Cameras.
There are TWO prizes the participants are fighting for:
1st: The best video "director" will get the 'once in a lifetime opportunity' to be live at the next "MTV Akustik Set" videotaping of a well-known band in Berlin. The winner can film the band's acoustic performance with a Kodak Zi8 to share it with everyone afterwards.
2nd: The band of the winning video gets their own MTV Akustik Set (professional acoustic videotaping by MTV) that will be presented on akustik.mtv.de.

The competition works in three phases:
1st phase:
MTV-visitors that play in a band or know a band with extraordinary acoustic-skills and who are able to handle a video camera can apply on mtv.de/Kodak.
2nd phase:
The best ten applications that are chosen by the Kodak and MTV jury will receive a Kodak Zi8 Digital Video Camera each and have three weeks time to film their band when performing an acoustic song of max. 2 minutes. The ten videos will be shared on mtv.de/Kodak with many, many, many music-fans who can vote for their favorite music video.
3rd phase:
The video "director" whose music video gets the most votes will travel to Berlin together with his band to film the next MTV Akustik Set with the Kodak Zi8 Digital Video Camera. The band of the winning music video gets its own MTV Akustik Set. The videos of the MTV Akustik Sets will be presented online on akustik.mtv.de to share them with music fans across the world. - Maybe an important step for the band towards a successful music career...who knows!

I have written here about some of the
hilarious videos that Conan's blogger has been shooting with the Kodak Zi6 and posting to The Tonight Show site on Thursdays. There's also a
Photo of the Day gallery with more peeks behind the scenes of The Tonight Show.
Tonight it's going to get even more exciting as Kodak makes a special appearance on the show! Be sure to tune in to The Tonight Show on NBC at 11:35 pm EST/PST, 10:35 pm CST to see what goes down!
